  1. Sadly. no effect with the 2 different mice I tried or with changing polling rates. Yesterday I tried update 1.21.2 and that got rid of the issues. 70fps on high with render distance on 288. Couple of dips in forests, overall very good! But when I just tried again, the issues returned. I tried updating to 1.21.4 and nope, still the same.
  2. Yeah, then there is definitely something weird going on. Trying those settings nets me a very input lag heavy and stuttery 40 fps..
  3. The problem I have with Vsync, is that when I turn it off the game suffers from microstuttering and input lag. My game experience is actually better with it turned on. I have tried using the max framerate cap on 60 but that plays about 75% as good as Vsync. So weirdly enough, this is the only game in which I have ever seriously used Vsync. Can I ask you what settings you play with on that hardware? Part of me feels I might just be having unrealistic expectations. Maybe I misremember what I used to play on. That's definitely true, and I'm not expecting to run at max setting cruising through forests, it just feels like the perfomance even in fields is supbar to what the hardware should produce. Maybe it is a problem that will get ironed out with an update. If it's not, that would be sucky. Either way, I am looking at upgrading. In the mean time, I guess I'll have to accept how it is. But who knows, maybe someone or the devs manage to fix it.
  4. I realize it is pretty barebones yeah. The SSD was an purchase driven by both a need for storage and the fact that it's a transferrable upgrade (PCIE 4.0 is reverse compatible with 3.0 that my motherboard supports, it doesn't support ddr5.) But for a ram upgrade I'd prefer to save up for a new MB/CPU/RAM combo so I can get ddr5. Which is what I'm currently doing.
  5. Hello! I've come back to the game after being gone for a while to play with the new updates. But for some reason my performance has taken a hit. I feel like I used to be able to run the game at 60fps 1080p on high - very high. But now I seem to struggle maintaining 60 fps on medium settings. Odd thing is that I can run very high, but I have to lower the render distance all the way to 192 to get a stable 60fps. I used to be able to do 256 or 320 (in less forested areas). Have there been updates regarding render distance that would affect this? System specs: GPU: AMD RX 5700 8GB (Non XT version) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6 core RAM: Corsair 2x8gb DDR4 3200mhz Storage: M.2 Nvme Resolution: 1080p 60hz Oddly enough my GPU powerdraw doesn't seem to go above 90 watts despite no powersaving or limiting settings being turned on. Attempted solutions: Reinstalling Vintage story Fiddle with settings in-game Fiddle with Radeon Adrenaline settings (Including factory reset) Checked power limits (GPU uses between 70-90 watts. In other games it can go up to 140+) Restarting Checked other games (No problems found) Checked for thermal throttling Checked GPU/CPU utilisation (GPU is 100% CPU hovers between 8-20%) Reinstalling GPU drivers with DDU and/or AMD Driver cleanup utility (Notes on that below) Checked for integrated GPU usage (I have none) Checked ram speed Tested without mods (and with mods for good measure) Delete old .netruntime versions If anyone has experienced something similar, a solution, or maybe a reality check as to my hardware. Let me know!
