  1. rift wards don't seem to do really anything
  2. It's getting annoying having the rift activity dance between "High" and "apocalyptic" for several in-game months. enemies are spawning above ground in daytime and I want to know if there's any commands that will reset the rift activity to "calm" I don't want to disable it entirely but I might at this point.

I'm having a strange issue, its mid-winter in my world and it seems like snow will not spawn in the chunk my house is in, like its forming all around my home, but for a single square theres nothing, I've tried using a commands to make it rain and it didn't do anything, I'm assuming this is not normal? is there a fix bc I do like the look of everything covered in snow and its awkward to very clearly see where the game isn't placing snow. not a game-breaking bug just more of an aesthetic issue.

I have a large highway that spans several thousand blocks and its very nice being able to use the elk to traverse faster, however its very annoying trying to align the elk with the blocks, for example, ill start sprinting down the path and will drift to the right, so I tap A and now I'm drifting to the left, hit D now I'm drifting more to the right than before. I was wondering if there was a way or a mod to align the elk's movement with a cardinal direction? (North East South West) it would make traversal less annoying

    elk not summoning

    i managed to get him back, I had to go back to where I last thought he was and found him, what's weird is that that's not the stable its a covered storage area that I had the elk sit under while I built the actual stable. he only spent a few minutes there so idk why the icon showed him there
  7. i recently bought an elk and packed him up with gear to go traveling, however i spent a little while on the journey traveling my foot and not I can't summon him, his marker on the map says hes right next to my house but hes not there, i used no clip and hes not in a cave under my house either, the flute does nothing and I dont want to have to buy a new elk and make the gear for him, what do I do? this is a screenshot of the map and you can see his marker is there but the elk himself is not

  9. also a weird thing is that if i use the command while standing on a crop block it highlights the block in green

I'm having an issue with my greenhouse, it is 13x13x5(technically 4.5) on the interior with glass slabs for a roof (still properly sealed) I know I built the room correct as it worked in 1.19 ad allowed some crops to live through winter, however not it's telling me its invalid, i double checked all the windows and whatnot but the /debug rooms hi command is telling me it's invalid? even though previously it said it was fine. what happened to the room logic and is there a way I can fix it without having to tear my build apart?

  14. i used creative mode to replace the roof shingles on my house as they used to be the old blue clay ones, i left the world an came back only for the new roof blocks to be the white question mark blocks, i go to break them, my game crashes and now my world is corrupted, what the fuck

    I was looking through the in game wiki thing and saw that dirt can be turned into cob using grass, but can't see if there's any point to making it, the wiki here doesn't say anything about it. is there any point to it other than maybe adding some texture to some builds?

  18. I was exploring around my world and making a massive path to take me east when I saw this structure on the minimap, I decided to check it out. It looks like a tomb to me but I'm not sure. I was wondering bc I don't want to start trashing the place and digging stuff up if theres nothing to uncover. just curious
  19. oof, i only have one set of sails on my windmill and had to reduce the ratio using a large gear to get the hammer to work, that stuff is pretty far away lmao, the winter just ended for me so I'm going to be trying to crank out as much flax as I can using some terra preta I got recently.
  20. yeah I have a helve hammer and barely enough mechanical power to make it work, still tedious when compared to copper or bronze but it is what it is i suppose.

I was just wondering if there's a better, more efficient way of smelting iron. the bloomeries and refining on an anvil make sense given iron has an extremely high melting point, but at the same time is very tedious and will take a lot of fire clay as the bloomeries don't give back all the bricks used and there's not a whole lot of fire clay near my base. I was just curious.
