I've been having fun with the Kobold player model mod and was wondering why there were so few of them, and what others could be made. After playing a game of starbound with friends I had an idea; why not the bird-like Avians? They humanoid still and would only be a simple model and texture change, so in my hubris I went off trying to figure out how to mod this kind of thing thinking it'll be easy.
Well, I was wrong. I looked at the wiki and realized I was way out of my depth here. I didn't consider clothes would need adjustments, and parenting for animations and... you get the point. I'm sure a much more experienced modder could maybe do this. and I'd be happy to (attempt to) do textures for it, I just can't figure out how to do so or any of it in general.
