The whole process is horrible. Is it possible to upload a whole json file? If it is possible would it overwrite any translation made by others in the meantime?
-
I would like to suggest to use Markdown instead of HTML for text. This would make translations much simpler. A random example in HTML The same in Markdown I think it is obvious what is easier to read and edit. Wouldn't this be an option?

Thanks, I've joined Discord

I like to play this game from time to time, but I have the impression the German translation gets worse. Can I help with this somehow? I wish you all a Happy New Year

Hi, is it still necessary to use Mono or is it possible to use dotnet core instead?

1.17.0 pre1 multiple harvest of cooper reeds with the knife
Voxelman replied to Voxelman's topic in Bugs (archived)
yes, can confirm this. It only happens if they are in water. -
I had a frame drop on the first night. I was clay forming a vessel in my 2x3 shelter and was surrounded by drifters. I don't know how much FPS this was, but not much. My specs: 2k monitor, 56% resolution, Ryzen 5 3600 with 32GB Ram, Radeon RX 570 8GB GPU, Kubuntu 22.04, no mods, medium settings with 256 blocks view range, new map

More low tech tools and items for stone age in vanilla game?
Voxelman replied to Voxelman's topic in Discussion
I know there are mods for that, but they add too much unnecessary stuff. I just miss some minor additions. I would make my own mod, but I don't know anything about the mod API and I'm not good in designing models or graphics at all. -
More low tech tools and items for stone age in vanilla game?

Woops, this should be in "suggestions" -
The whole game is designed to rush through the first ages. But what if you want to stay in stone age for a while? I miss tools like a mortar to make flour (put a piece of grain on a stone and use stone in your hand to make flour). Like this one I miss the ability to make more out of small hides. What about a door made of pelt? I does protect you from cold, but not from animals. Make larger pelt from small pelt using flax twine and a bone needle. Make bone tools like knapping stone tools. Place a bone on the ground and use a stone to knap it into tools. This would give more meaning to the Stone Age and not just be a troublesome part for entering other ages.

Hi, I want to play single player games, but for better performance I want to run a dedicated server. But how can I manage multiple games? How can I create them with specific settings and mods? How can I switch between them? Can I create a game in single player and copy it to the server somehow? Couldn't find much information in the wiki so far.

Hi, I wonder how I can pick up cracked vessels to sell them to a trader? I found a trader that buys cracked vessels, but it is impossible to pick them up. At least I don't know how. Is this possible in vanilla VS? Regards

Ok, I got some numbers. I think the numbers have an accuracy of +/-1. Without 10% speed bonus (e.g. commoner) walking: 204 bpm (blocks per minute) running: 408 bpm With 10% speed bonus (e.g. hunter) walking: 224 bpm running: 449 bpm All data without guarantee.

That's the alternate option, but I'm currently not at home to try it. If no one else has an answer I will try it later. Thanks for the answer.

Hi, I try to find informations about the walking speed and the length of a day in real time, but I can't find it. How long is a day in realtime and how fast did a player walk in blocks per second or per minute (with default settings)? Thanks for any help Voxelman

Hi, I play VS on Linux (currently Kubuntu 21.10) with mesa drivers (no AMD driver). I have a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU with 32GB Ram and a Radeon RX570 GPU with 8GB Ram. I also have a 2k monitor (1440p). I have playable frame rates with medium settings if I play in a window or reduce the screen resolution to 1080p as long as the vegetation is not too dense. Can I optimize that without sacrificing view range or other settings? I turned off vsync and set the frame rate to 60 and I don't optimize Ram usage (because I think I have enough Ram). I can disable FXAA and Bloom and set shadows to low detail, which is still ok. But I want more view range. At least 256 blocks. But then the frame rate drops. Can I optimize this somehow? (I attached the clientsettings.json) And assuming I want to play at least with very (or even ultra) high settings at 1440p, what hardware would I need? clientsettings.json

can I use other .NET languages like F# for modding?

I haven't found any informations yet. Do you have a link with more informations? -
Hi, I use a special keyboard without dedicated umlaut keys. I use the dead key ¨ to type ä, ö and ü. But that doesn't work in VS. If I want to search for Armor and I try to type the German word "Rüstung" I only get "R¨ustung" which doesn't work. Regards, Markus
