  1. It's funny how we all have different ways to play. I am probably like Thalius, I NEVER sleep. I plan my day to be mostly outside on daytime, gathering, hunting, exploring, mining, feeding animals, visiting traders, and indoor on night time. There is so much to do (leather, cooking, bakering, bricks, glass, casting, smithing ... and when I have some spare time, panning till the dawn). Even in the early days of the game, in a 2x3 burrow, I manage to have sufficient stone spears, and kill drifters through a "window".

Have you tried to put a full stack of hay blocks in your inventory ? No need to dig dirt before the night and hay blocks are very quickly dismissed (2 hits). No need to take a door either. I always have a stack in my bag : instant tent, instant pillar when scaffolding, walling the drifters in caves to mine quietly, and so on ...

  3. No, Thalius, it's a good way to go through the storm but it's not enough to be completely safe. Last time, one of them spawned on the pillar. To be precise, I don't know if he managed to spawn on the same tile as me or if spawned above me and fell on my shoulders, but it was there and almost killed me before falling in the pit with the others.

  4. Thanks a lot, Craluminium & Thalius, for your answers. Being new to the game and still experiencing copper/bronze age, I am probably far from being able to work with chiseled materials (I guess the nice hollowed box shown by Craluminium is made from such chiseled chalk elements. Nevertheless, I keep those designs for the moment I'll be able to build them.

  5. Hello,

I built a small "panic room" in which I wait during temporal storms. It's just a 2x3 closed room covered with 6 cobblestone slabs, a hay bed (useless) and an oil lamp. It's been ok for several storms, and through the door, I could see drifters roaming in the base. But this time ... a deep drifter spawned in the panic room. Second later, I was dead. I don't understand how this was possible. Have you ever seen the same situation ? Is there a major flaw in my room or even in the concept of such a room ? Thanks.

  6. I choose the ocean life because that was the first thought to strike me when discovering the game a few days ago : What ? So much water everywhere and nothing inside, not even a single crab ?

Moreover, this is a "lack" that a new player can (and will) discover in the very first hours on this new world. The other updates come after, in order of appearance. So, such an update would benefit to every player.

By the way, many thanks to Tyron and all his team for this great game. It's not common to have the devs team replying to the questions of the players, and I fully appreciate this. So many times, they stand high in their ivory tower, definitely unreachable. Also, the first feeling I had when discovering the game is that the devs team are really enjoying their work and really coding a game they want to play with us. And not just "If we had this option, how many more licence will we sell". Thanks a lot, and keep up the good work.
