i tried turnips and berries but every time i used the turnips itd i tried berries and turnips but when i used the berries nothing happened and the turnips would just dissapear out of the crates, idk if they ate them or not but i havent figured it out yet

so I wanna try and trap some baby elk but I'm not really sure how to do it, it says to use the new large crate traps but im not sure how it works, i placed it down in a hole where i have baby elk and put berries in it but it doesnt seem to attract them, do i leave it for a day and come back or is there any other ways to do it??? (EDIT) finally was able to do it, so far for elk i think you need to specifically use carrots and it worked finally, but i think there are some bugs with catching animals at the moment!!
