  1. Main way to end up with steel bits : - I wanna smith some steel item - I went to fast when selecting what to smith - I don't want that - I chiseled the unfinished work item Done
  2. Of course it is : just chisel a steel item
  3. It would be ^^ But it's not required I'm a dev : one can add an event listener without removing existing ones Escape could continue to work as it already does and there would be other keys for "open menu" and "close all widows"!..
  4. - Name should not be required to set a waypoint - Delete the mini-map or allow us to zoom in/out +1 for custom markers : like less markers by default and a UI to create our own! That way we only enter the name once then just : - open map - click a spot - select marker (maybe type its name's first letters to find it) - close map With such a system, enforcing name would be fine since as we would probably have tons of waypoint types, we would need a name to text-search them, to make them emphasized on the map, as well as to set them up in the first place!
  5. Hmmm, I dunno, I kinda like the danger to fall into a pit without the gear required to get back up Then ladders would become rather cosmetic And if we can climb, then drifters should be able, too! And I prefer them crawling X-)
  6. To climb you only need ladders (7x / 2) sticks to climb x blocks : with a full stack of sticks you can climb 18 blocks! Would be nice for early hardcore games when a wolf or a bear decides to kill you, they run faster than you thus you can't ever escape if there's no water nearby Is mandatory, to me... To allow hunting to be realistic and less a pain Easiest way to hunt right now is cheesing mobs in water... That's dumb! When game starts, just find a big lake with a decent island (you can expand the island if needed) and setup a camp, no walls required... You'll get perfect farm layout without the need to get a bucket :-3 Find some trader cart nearby so you can hide during temporal storms or get through the night if your camp has too many rifts... Bears can't swim so you get early drops from them when they try their way through the water and you basically swim faster than most other mobs! I hope they add sharks for oceans and crocodiles for other watery areas x_x' And fix the drowning bears : they are very good swimmers IRL! Mobs should avoid going through the water in areas too deep... And traders should not allow us to us their chests or sleep in their bed..! And they should repel us during temporal storms and nights
  7. That wouldn't change the issue which is "having to hold down a key for a long time"... Also, I'm not sure but I think I saw something about that in the 1.20 features list!
  8. Hi! I'm not a native english speaker, yet I'll try to explain the best I can the annoying synopsis I went through ^^' As I'm left handed, my right hand is located around the arrow keys... Thus I setup a lot of custom controls! At some point I got fed up with having to move all the way to the escape key to close all windows and I decided to change it for the insert key but... That only changed the pause/menu behavior x_x' So, I decided to rebind back the escape key and use AutoHotKey to invoke Escape through the insert key ^^ But!.. The escape key in controls setup window only serves as a mean to cancel the "let's choose a key for this action", so the only way to revert back that key was to reset default and erase all the changes I made before I'd suggest to add a control setting for "Close all windows" and allow using the same key for pause/menu... Escape in Controls should just setup the escape key and, for QoL purpose, for any control changing you could prompt a dialog window such as "Changing ${action} from ${key} to ..." [Click to cancel] Eager to try the 1.20 out! Thx for your consideration :-3 Oh, and happy new year
