  1. Should I build a new base? I have in my base in a small panic-room 6x5 blocks only, I have got during a heavy temporal storm maybe 5-6 corrupt drifters, and maybe 1-2 deep drifters in my small room - a pure nightmare, I died maybe 15 times :( - Its an stable area, but the next unstable area is only 100 blocks away, too close?

  2. Maybe we could implement Pointer Plants. Pointer plants e.g. for alkalik soils are these:

meadow cranesbill, hollow tooth, meadow sage and pansy. Field bellflowers, delphinium, liverwort, corn poppy, dead nettle, chicory, pasque flower and milkweed flourish magnificently.
Maybe I should write to this in Suggestions-Forum? Adding some PointerPlants?

There are even PointerPlants for ores - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metallophyte

A metallophyte is a plant that can tolerate high levels of heavy metals such as lead. Such plants range between "obligate metallophytes" (which can only survive in the presence of these metals), and "facultative metallophytes" which can tolerate such conditions but are not confined to them.[1]

European examples include alpine pennycress (Thlaspi caerulescens), the zinc violet (Viola calaminaria), spring sandwort (Minuartia verna), sea thrift (Armeria maritima), Cochlearia, common bent (Agrostis capillaris) and plantain (Plantago lanceolata).[2] Few metallophytes are known from Latin America.[3]

Metallophytes commonly exist as specialised flora found on spoil heaps of mines.

Such plants have potential for use for phytoremediation of contaminated ground.

  3. Helo, I'm still new do this game, what you do with vinly discs? I have now 4x discs, they are useful for what? I do also panning lot of quartz-nuggets, but I don't think, that I need so much windows ... should I throw away? Or keep in storage? Flintstone I got also very much, but its cheap for killing rabbits etc. ... and for other tools, copper is better, but better to youse copper for sword and not for a knife e.g. ...

  4. Now I also don't sleep in Vintage Story. Only very seldom, only if I'm to far away from home-base, so I sleep only by a trader (or later in an outpost). I have in my house a small hole with water and I did panning recources. or I work (smithing, woodworking....) ;) - I wish me a simple clock in VS. Like in Minecraft. Hope we will have a mod for this, or an implementation later.

  5. I saw a completely white cube in the landscape with a red question mark in the middle. Placed on the floor. I'm sure he wasn't there a few gaming-hours earlier there. I was able to dismantle the block by hand. Nothing happened. It was in a forrest-biome, temperate climate zone.

This cube was an single error, I play VS since 2 weeks (and I did spend 20 hours in my world). And I did see that only today.

  6. Sorry, yes I installed Farm Life :( I was thinking it would be like Minecraft. Easier to attract, but not so easy as in the picture you can see.

Hm, "catching" animals was in vanilla complicated/weird to me, I throwed some stones against the pig, but the pig was hunting me after this only 5-10 fields, my base was 400 blocks away :/ - and once an animal killed me, but I only hit him with a stone too ..

I have Farm Life now deactivated, I like more action. Even hunting is good, If I go hunting for flesh - I have even nice random accidents and  I finde some nice seeds, nice resources like copper or ruins (not every ruin is showed in the minimap well, but thats fine) ;)

  7. Animals rot on the wall (better looking garden fence I will build) and stay there for hours / days. Doesn't seem realistic in my eyes. I'm sure that every animal will understood after some minutes, that he can't get the food, and should look for other place.

It makes also to easy to get flesh for the player.

  8. For me the most dangerous time are after a heavy temporal storm, corrupt drifters don't flee, even bright sunshine day time. So a pit is good idea, and a longer escape tunnel under the soil, for 15, better 20 blocks/meters. Lot of spears also a must have.

  9. How he did made this? Not the creation of the oven, but which shortcuts he uses? Minute 09:25 please explain. If I fill all Material/Objects, I fill all (with LM-Button). I tried Shift+ LM, Ctrl+LM, Alt+LM .. useless, I watched also in the shortcut configuration, hmm, not documented. Or did he use a Shortcut-Mod? Adding/Subtrating 1+1+1+1+1,
    x-1-1-1-1-1...

  10. ok, and they are tor rare, for temperate zone?! I played also over 70 hours (14 VS-months) and I got only 2 thunder noises. But very often rain. Aprops Temperature, even a heavy snowfall can have - thats rare too, but a short Thunderstorm, in my near Berlin / Germany, we have in the winter 1-3 short very short thunderstorms even in winter with snowfall (3-5 Minutes and maybe 5-20 Bolts and Thunders).

The video is awsome ....  hmm, but its too rare :(

I mean, e.g. Berlin have 1-3 strong thunderstorms ;) in a year too, and a half dozen weak Thunderstorms ;)

  11. Here an short impression - such nice thunderstorm you don't have in MC and here I miss thunderstorm effects too (wish me more thunderstomr) - thats great for a scary feeling.

here a short impression. Graphics much better in VS, I mean only the bolt light (00:00:08) / thunder-sound effetc. ;)

thats minetest / minclone, its opensource - https://www.minetest.net/

  12. yes, I think also, wolves have fixed spanwing point, 50-100 blocks away from my base I have 3 placed where I see wolves very often too, thax too god they never were in the realtive near of my base, but I avoid this area and thats fine. Sad that there are two ruins on wolve-hills and a copper recource near by this hills-ruin, maybe with good tresure - with better armor and weapons I will made expeditions, good idea? I see that wolves likes forests and hills, and maybe ruins (seldom), after visiting maybe 50 ruins, there was only one time, with wolves ruin + flatland.

  13. Maybe villagers could do some simple jobs like farming and building roads (directed by player). A smart villager can be your scarce or even your mercenary. I think it would be possible? I see in VS, that the AI is smarter as in MC, good job from codders in my eyes ;)

Some villagers should be danger, like Pillagers in MC. And maybe in some situations you are the lucky third, because Pillager and Drifter kill each others or Wolves vs. Pillager are killing each other too. :D
