I don't think that the OP is going to anger anyone w this statement. I've only been here two years, but folks here seem pretty chill. Now if you'd like to see a community that will freak out if you do anything less than break an arm patting the dev's back even though the game has floated upside down on the water like a dead duck for years, I could direct you to a particular game on Steam, but that level of toxicity is almost enough to set off a Geiger counter. Personally, I love the mushrooms, I just haven't touched them yet. I wonder how Expanded Foods deals with them; can we add them to stew, eggs? I'm not a foodie, but isn't mushroom tea a thing in the real world? But " the new mushrooms are overwhelming" isn't exactly rage-inducing. If you came here and said "What the f's wrong w these ignorant devs for adding a ludicrous amount of mushrooms!!!???", now them there be fightin words, madam. :) Dueling pistols might have to be taken off the shelf, with the whole "fire at 20 paces" type of deal.

Super necro but that was exactly what I feared. I once asked from Steam community that is it somehow possible to change children clothes to another variant in Skyrim and was immediately called a pedo by at least 10 junior high bullies and incels. 🤣 Stopped asking and started to learn modding by myself. 😂

  2. Hi, I'm sure this will anger the lot of you but just please hear me out before the public execution.
I just updated to 1.16.4 and the new mushrooms are a bit overwhelming to be honest. They are pretty and all but seriously? 26 new varieties?
In comparison there are 5 types of berries and 5 types of grain.
New mushrooms really fill up the inventory in a minute when searching for food and they don't even differ in nutritional values from each other, except for few of them being poisonous.
So in a summary I just don't see the point in them other than aesthetics and I feel that they are VERY disproportioned comparing to other food sources.
I mean, like, 7 different mushrooms would have been totally enough to give the impression of a large variety.
Or am I missing something important here? Will they be an ingredient for something like potions in the future or are they used in dyeing cloth or something?
Just please, share your thoughts and opinions with me because I feel confused and a bit disappointed at the moment and I want to reflect with others about this.
I'm worried that I might take this a bit too seriously but I needed to get this off of my chest.

    Thanks for your time!

  3. Hi, we play on a server and noticed that there are "Riddler blocks" where mushrooms and oak planks should be. Fellow players reported some aged wood textures missing too. Mushrooms don't drop anything when broken, oak planks I don't know since I saw them on traders cart. Our mods atm are creepless, workbench expansion and ancient tools, all are up to date.
Any help or advice is welcome! Thanks!

  4. Hi, I just thought to inform that if I use the current 1.5.0 version of this mod with VS 1.15.5 then the morevariants ladders make the game crash. It's ok to craft them and store them but when trying to place them, the ctd happens. I have the Vanilla Themepack from JabZ, and in the earlier version of the game there was no problems with these two. Also the morevariants trapdoors and doors don't make any sounds when interacting.
Wishing you a lot of inspiration with updating, this is my favorite mod. ^_^

You mean like the ropes Tyron's been working on? For controlling animals?

Probably yes, though my main interest is in those fore mentioned decoration purposes . But good to know ropes are coming! ^_^

  6. Not very "original" idea but I really would love to have these in VS. :)
Chains and ropes to hang lanterns and make fencing. Would be great if they expanded to attach some thinner blocks like wooden fences.
Same rope could also be used as animal lead.

  7. Hi, I can't do modding myself but I would love to have chains and ropes in the game.
They could hold lanterns, make fencing when sideways etc. It would be great if they expanded a little when connecting to wood fences and other "thinner" blocks.
I can actually do the textures and 3D models with Cubik Studio if someone does the code. :)

  8. This is just amazing! I just installed the newest version and holy macaroni ain't it SMOOTH!!! 😚
I previously had lagging problems with decent PC setup but they have now disappeared totally and the new content made me yell out loud!
Astonishing work dudes and dudettes, thanks a million of this game!
I have a small YouTube channel and I'm planning to add Vintage Story gameplay and review there, I really hope you get world wide attention to this project!
