Hokumpoke

I was very excited to find my first lorebook, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. It's specifically an orange aged lore book, not a rotten one. No matter how many times I right click while holding it my journal still says it's empty. I'm really not sure what I could be doing wrong. I'm playing with mods but nothing that should impact world generation or ruins or anything.
