    Nvm it looks like if I get really close to them when skinning them I get the loot, which is odd.

    So very new to the game, but the first couple of surface drifters I killed dropped some temporal gears or flax fibers, since then I've killed probably 20 more and not one has given any sort of loot, is this normal?
