I think that's what I'm doing it seems most people just need to download and launch the game but that's not working for me First, I downloaded the game, but an error popped up. After that, I followed the link below to the .net install, but it still didn't launch. Should I do it in a different order, or can the network connection affect it?

Hello, I've recently gotten the game, and each time I try to play any version above v1.17.12, it says that I need .NET Desktop Runtime 7.0.20. However, pressing yes doesn't do anything, and even though I downloaded it manually, it still doesn't run. I'm out of ideas on how to fix this, so I thought I'd ask if anyone here knows.
