Recently started to look into armor stats and all on this calculator linked in the wiki: https://codepen.io/VeryGoodDog/pen/JjjgeYv And what I founded odd was that it seems the both swen have a special bonus that limit how much higher damage tier affect them... making them look suprisingly good for what they are meant to be. And weirder than that, in game, the plates armor have a note the descibe a very similar buff that should be apply to them but it doesn't shows up in this calculator... So I'm confuse by all this.

Well as a beginner I'm still very far away from Iron and don't want to like...speed run my way up to iron. but in the mean time the only thing that can really kill me are wolf and other animal who seems to not care about your armor... (which I find rather crazy, even I IRL think I probably won't die against a wolf if I were given a copper spear and armor... )

Well It's a bit of a direct question bit i'm in general not sure about many things armore wise... Basically the game give a lot of option for armore and tier and all but i' have hard time understanding what armor should I choose (currently entering bronze age) Well it's more that, with my current understading... wood and copper armors will protect you only from lower enemy attack and basically unless against wild life like wolves and bear..; but their draw back are constant, so for me so far it's seems that not wearing any armors is straight up better than wearing something. So what can you tell me about the different type of a armor (lamellar, brigantin, scales, plates) and are they really usefull ?
