  1. Or give us some way to grow them indoors, but spawn mobs when they're picked. Something along those lines. I DO actually like weathering the storms from my nice, safe base, but I get that that's not for everyone. Another thing that might be fun is giving us some reason to snipe those pesky bowthorns from arrow holes or crenellations during a storm and harvest the corpses afterward. It could be tricky to balance making it rewarding without incentivizing mob farm design though. Or there could be a chance for random encounters during a temporal storm, with some being outside-only... one could include a trader with lots of great stuff. What I'd really love more than anything else is some kind of Minecolonies setup: I really miss Illusion of Gaia and Act Raiser, etc... and if there were hooks for modders to have an LLM generate dialogue and such for the villagers that would be magnificent. Keeping your villagers alive would be a good reason to worry about and have something to do during temporal storms. They ought to return home when one is approaching (Maybe make some sort of town bell that will ring and summon them all indoors)...

  7. This reminds me, I used to place my backpacks in the world but a few times they seemingly despawned on me. Is that a known bug?
  8. It looks like gears get consumed sometimes, so I’ll need a ton of them to play around. How do I get gold out of this?

Using the settings in the pics we got a world with mostly land with some lakes, including a few very distant large lakes, but zero oceans or saltwater as far as we have seen (we’re well into the endgame now) and no place to have a really satisfying boat trip. What do we need to change if we start a new world? ***EDIT*** After considerable badgering questioning my friend admitted that he can't remember if he used these settings despite us specifying that he would, and thinks that he didn't. He was unaware that tweaking settings in this way is even a thing. How can I help him find this menu next time (he's hosting it on his computer IIRC)? ***EDIT*** Now I'm being asled what options there are besides a world with oceans, any suggestions on interesting world settings? —- Also, a friend asked “if you go south enough will it be growing season forever, and if so how far south is that?” I have a vague idea that the growing season gets longer but I’m not sure what if any limits there are on that, and I am not sure about the precise distance. Maybe 2k blocks? More?
  10. Has anyone compiled information on the differences between astral and ethereal gears and what combinations of gears do what? Or what the deal is with the deep water creatures since my world seems to lack oceans let alone water deep enough…
