  1. I've got the same feelings. I recently started a new game. My last game was in version 1.15. I love the mechanics in Vintage Story. I love the feeling and the immersion in the world. I love the early days struggle, not having anything is tough and the challenge is real. I would say the immersion and the feeling is almost unique. Only Subsistence is giving me the same feeling.
  2. I just started a new game without the map or coords. It is a different ball game for sure. I've not got lost, at least not yet. I like think i have good sense of direction. I like the game better this way. I just can't run away from a wolf to any direction, i have to know where to run or where i am all the time. Finding a surface copper and remembering the location later is tough. Simple marking for some cave is way different without the map. I'm using natural landmarks all the time and i'm making dirt pillars to mark my way and pillars are pointing to home. I'm planning to build roads to all directions. I have to use notepad for the locations like this: - copper north - copper south-west, next to small bond - clay far north, east from ruins I have to use the sun for directions. At night it's ten times harder to navigate. It's fatal to get lost in the dark. Thanks for the compass mod link. That's a nice tip. I might use it if the things get worst later in game.
  3. Thank you. Now i know it's more like a chance of spawning and i just haven't seen any spawns yet. I was worried if i disabled the spawns.
  4. I'm playing in my first Vintage Story world and i'm a newbie. I've got the world settings: - disabled temporal mechanics - delayed monsters 5 days The game informed that monster are coming couple of days ago. I haven't seen any drifters yet. I did stand in the darkness, nothing. Does the temporal mechanics include the drifter spawning? Did i disable all the drifter spawnings completely because of my settings? Or what is going on?
