I do know its a bad idea, but I've been really short on food, so I'd thought I could get a little extra nutrition out of what I had on hand. -

sorry for the necro, but this is the first guide that comes up when you search this problem. it's worth noting that cattail roots do *not* count as a valid item, even though they fill the vegetable need. (i had this problem)
