it's a new thing. Before the last major update, you could right click to take it out. Now, the mold must be broken.
If you're still unsure, try making a creative world and trying it there.

Are you asking how to domesticate specifically the goats you captured? I don't think you can claim ownership over wild animals. Neither is there a way of domesticating a specific animal; they're born that way. This means you must continue to breed them and gradually, generation by generation, they become friendlier to you. Note that domestication level is always inherited from the dam, not the sire.

Strange, there's been cases when the ui freezes and the green arrow doesn't progress, but the food still cooks. Are you sure the meal doesn't cook all the way through, and that it isn't just the ui arrow that freezes?

Use a chissel to break down cast items into metal bits, which can then be melted down like ore.

I'd assume that, because the word "diameter" is not used, that 'width' here is referring to radius.
