  1. I think there was a talk about improving inventory space especially for some who needs to carry stuff etc.

And I just remember this, belt bags. Having their own slot. They can be made of leather or linen capable of carrying from 4 to 8 slots. However they can take only small items. Allowing people to be free of certain items that they might need to bring around.

EDIT: Image for example, although there are various types.

    Thank you very much!

That must be it, they are nuggets.

Is there anything I can do with the nuggets?

So far there is no way to turn them into nuggets as the "method" to process them isn't in game yet. You might just keep in your chest for now.

I think it was said that the game doesn't plan to expand past steel (not sure if that also includes stainless) but they wanted to encourage mod makers to go beyond. I think they have alot of features plan within the tech levels already available.

The devs never said that. In fact they had a roadmap for it that includes "steam"-based tech.

To note there are titanium plate and other stuff in the creative which means there are still planning it. I'm not a heavy rely on mods and much want to see the game grow over time.

  4. Honestly it is pretty possible. But it will be resource intensive. (As it was pretty stated that people did use freezing to preserve their meals in the middle ages, but mostly in the northern areas). Something like an Ice Box, or making a cellar dedicated as an "freezer" with winter ice or so.

So I had pit kiln inside with mud walls. Replaced mud walls over time with wood. Lit pit kiln and this happened....

This is why I never build a pit kiln in an highly flammable area.

I wasn't fan of 1.16 long-blade changes, I switched to axe. 1.16.1 sword is quite usable again. It could be slightly faster/stronger. I can again fight high tier drifters, although it's still is a problem of unrealistic flying push backs by drifters. And 2nd problem is sword is no longer a tool that you can use for example to get rid of leaves while traveling. i hope this will be back. Axe in this case is better multi purpose tool.

Yeah. To be honest I never bother making long-blades, just relying on bows and axes like some norsemen back then. Besides Axes makes a handy tool and weapon.

  7. Someone did question why VS don't had a thirst meter yet and made me wonder why. Sure it made surviving a little more "hard" but it makes things more challenging no?

But if that happens in the future, that also means implementation for stuff that allows to carry water as we do have clay jugs so far.

What do you mean? catails are super common, not to mention that they can grow back.

Depends on worldgen. Sometimes there will plentiful and oftentimes it will be less that you had to look really hard to find them around

It only takes 24 reeds to make an 8-slot basket. And you get 12-slots by making a container (don't recall the name) from blue or fire clay. From a space POV, the baskets are better in that you can stack one on top of another getting 16 slots in the same space as you would otherwise get only 12.

For my money, though, I really like the clay storage vessels. Just get yourself a couple slots worth of peat and build a temporary safe space over a clay deposit and make vessels. Or mine a bunch of clay and take it to wherever home is and craft there. The advantage to forming (but not firing) at the clay site is you can stack unfired 4 high, and each pot takes a bit over 1/2 of a stack of clay, so you end up being able to carry over twice as many if you fire them wherever you are using them. Not that you need more than a half dozen of those before you get chests. Lugging home 2 stacks of pots and 2 stacks of clay should be more than enough.

I think they called Storage Vessel. While they are meant for storing and preserving food, they're a good alternate for storing items.

How the heck did no one remember the reed baskets? It's the most cheap "chest" for players on the early part of the game.

Well yes, until you start getting more stuff and there is few reeds/papyrus to be use.

They bugged, currently restart their growing process everytime the chunk is unloaded 0_o ;) Id wait for a release past rc5 to retest them.

better send a bug report to the dev so that he'll fix it in the next update.
