  1. This guide is meant to help those whose UPnP just won't allow them to enable network hosting, no matter what is done. Here are a quick few notes about this method so you may be fully aware of what it involves: You will be utilizing Radmin VPN, it is free and does NOT require any form of account creation. The server will be hosted as a LAN server in order for this to work. Mostly a general rule of thumb, allow the host with the best internet to set the world and server up. Now, here are the steps below: Every player who wants to join the server needs to download Radmin VPN. Follow the steps with allocating the file and installing it. Once you have the Radmin application open, one person must create the network, this can be done either by clicking the prompt "Create network" in the center of the application or going through the middle tab aptly named "Network" and clicking "Create Network". Set the name and password for the network and then share the information with the other players, allow them to join the network by clicking through the "Network" tab and selecting "Join network". Once every player is connected to Radmin, ensure the network is on, then open Vintage Story. For the Host, either create or join a world (Remember to copy the name of the world to share with the other players), once loaded in, click "Open to LAN". Click "Reveal IP Address" and share the IP with the other players, you will know Radmin is working when the IP is different to your original IP address. For the players, go to "Multiplayer" and click "Add Server". Make sure to type/paste the title of the world and the IP address in their appropriate text boxes, then click create. Once the server is created, simply click on the server and you should be able to join! As a personal note from using the service: Prior to finding Radmin, I spent most of two days attempting to figuring out how to have my friends join my world with a ton of frustration. Although there were slight bugs, they were not significant in any way and seemed to be more connected to how Vintage Story handled multiplayer, such as a clone of another player running in place while the "real" them was running around completely fine. I made this topic in hopes to help other players like me to connect to their friends without the hassle of fixing their UPnP (when, c'mon Vintage Story, it's clearly enabled!).
