Im not gonna defend this position too much, but it would be a neat detail if pickaxes acted a teir or two higher when doing damage to simulate an armor pierce effect(or were just coded to ignore some armor), ala a warpick. Wouldn't do much too any standard mobs as I dont think they have armor, but would be a neat detail for pvp.
