I just got my first little piglets spawned and i was wondering if i could kill their parents and they grow up just fine, or do they need to be alive for them to properly grow up

Hello, I was just wondering if you could coustomize the world of the server the same way you would be able to on a single player world. Me and my friends were looking for a server to rent to play on, and because we wanted to play Vanilla anyways we thought the offical hosting would be a great start for that. but i wondered if you can change difficulty settings, and fine tune everything like you would be able to in single player since we wanted to play without the rifts etc. Is that something that would be doable in the "in house" server hosting service, or does it limit you?
