Long Ago, based on what some have been able to piece together from scattered relics, it is said that the people of world had tapped into and began to harness a dangerous, yet powerful energy source known as Temporal Energy. This energy obtained through unknown means yet rumored to have been siphoned from the fabric of reality itself, over time slowly unraveled it creating tears, and giving way for entities, eldritch in origin, to invade our world. The People of the time, ignorant to the consequences this posed, did it with little disregard. This negligence would accumulate and lead to a cataclysmic event, resulting in the end of the world. Knowledge of this event, of which is still lost to us today. Yet it is known, that from this event, the world of past was lost and all that remains of it, is what we find in ruins today.
One thing that we have come to understand however, is that those of us that live today, descend from the same people ages ago who dabbled with that unforgiving power. How we have managed to survive since then is unknown to all of us. However, it is rumored, that in the final moments of that long-lost civilization, some of them, likely our ancestors, escaped to the depths of their world. Where they managed to harness and refine that same Temporal Energy used to end their world, into tools used to preserve it. So that Millennia later, after their world had ended, and been reborn, we the Seraphim could emerge and reclaim it.
Now, recently one of us has emerged, and using technology unknown to the rest of us, has created a means to reconstruct the bodies and minds of people who have ceased to exist. Essentially granting us a return from the dark after, immortality. Our Savior has since secluded themselves in a tower on a floating island fueled by temporal energy, that we have come to refer to as the Clockmakers Tower. As for the rest of us, our story begins now. We must learn to exist in this foreign and hostile world, uncover its secrets and work towards rebuilding that in which we have lost.

Respawn Mechanic
All players joining the server initially begin with 0 lives (respawns), only being able to accrue a maximum of 1 life at a time. Lives are accrued by using Temporal Gears. Using a Temporal Gear on yourself will give you one life, additional Temporal gears can then be stored for later use or exchanged for items and gear within a living robust player-driven economy. If a player with 0 lives, ceases to exist then they will be unable to respawn. But perhaps there may be a way for other players to use Temporal Gears to return their comrades who have befallen this fate, from the dark after?
Society Fueled by Player Actions, Roles and Decisions
In a harsh world where enemies deal more damage than normal, players can starve or even freeze. Players will need to come together and rely on one another to survive. Create settlements and Factions to help each other survive; Guilds to help players learn Trades; Shops, Inns or Taverns to sell any myriads of Items, Equipment or Food; Even become a Guard, putting your expertise of sword and shield out for hire. For those seeking a more adventurous path, become a Bandit, Raider or even an Explorer, searching for world for relics to sell gears.
World Events, Dungeons and Raids
Experience limited time events that unravel as the world progresses and players actions cause events to unfold. During these events there will be real-time Dungeons/Raids that will appear and become available in the world, bringing with them, world altering changes that affect terrain, player-built constructions. and even at time bring with them new game mechanics or items.
Mechanisms to Protect Player Build Constructs
This is The World, Revision Zero. To protect the stability and continuity of the world, little to no changes of settings or mods will be made while the world in alive. Instead, when sufficient amount of updates or changes to the world or MODs will need to be made, players will be promptly alerted and given ample time to use mechanisms put into place to protect their constructs and have them be safely ported over into new versions of the game or worlds, should the need ever arise for the world to be wiped. The core mechanic behind this, will be an incentive for players to live and build any/all of their constructs in Nhoxus, the main town/area that the player will spawn into upon joining the world and where the similarly named Floating Citadel of Nhoxus resides. Player constructs built in this area will automatically be saved and ported over into newer revisions of the world.

Rebirth: First Steps
The first and initial chapter for the world. Create your character, choose your class and be reconstructed into the world and into the now through the use of Temporal Energy. Once you have entered the world and gotten your footings, then get ready because there is a lot of work to be done. We must settle the land, establish a source of food, water and warmth, and only then after we have ensured our survival then will we be able to begin looking towards the future and what comes next.
