  1. I appreciate the thoughts, I did get a the dedicated server to work through the separate server application, so I know the port forward is working and there are no firewalls blocking it. The standalone application is a fine solution, so now I'm just kind of wondering why the open to internet function is not working. The dedicated server I'm using isn't a separate download tho, it is in the same directory as the VS application, just called VintagestoryServer. Also I don't know if it is something with my ISP but the port checking tool never seems to work for me. It only says the port is open if the server is up and running, and as soon as the server is closed it goes back to saying "Connection refused". Not sure what's up with that, just something weird I noticed.
  2. I do not believe that it would be the firewall or any antivirus as I have most of those types of things disabled. If there is anything specific you wanted me to check I can. I have a few other ports forwarded for other servers in other games, and they work fine so I wouldn't think it would be a firewall problem.
  3. My friend and I are trying to set up a multiplayer world for just the two of us. I tried going through the steps for the open to LAN and then open to internet method. My router does not allow for UPnP so I have to do the port forward method. I am no stranger to port forwarding so this should not be a big deal. I opened ports for TCP and UDP for 42420. However when I try and open to internet it says "Internet hosting failed". I'm not sure if it is trying to use the open ports because it just says searching for UPnP and then goes directly to failed. I'm not sure if there is a setting or something that I am missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
