The responses from people here are disgusting, ignorant, or just simply childish. Why are you defending malware? What exactly do you get from telling someone who feels their trust was violated that they're wrong for feeling that way? The whole point of this seems to be that someone who now has some level of trust with the VS devs is not sorry that they released malignant code. If they simply apologised for the overreach this wouldn't be nearly as big, that and the level of bootlicking just escalates things further with those who feel wronged. TLDR: Please stop being so petty and sarcastic, and accept that people can feel differently about breaches of trust.
