Hi all. I've been hosting a Vintage Story server through the website's purchasable server option. It's been up and running for around a month now, and just recently (within the past day or so) one of the players on the server is experiencing high ping (in the tens of thousands). I'm at a loss for what to do because I've done some googling and searching around the forums and there doesn't seem to be much documentation on this issue (unless I've been looking in the wrong areas, I don't know)… We're all connected from different parts of the world but this player specifically is located in Africa, and before this issue their ping averaged around 150-200ms. Their ping issues began happening when I went off on a journey several thousand blocks away from our base, and they suddenly began experiencing HEAVY lag and increased ping. Someone else was on the server with us and they were completely fine, their ping was sitting around 50ms, so it seems to just be an issue with this one player, and I'm not sure why. Their drivers are up to date, adequate RAM allocation and graphics settings. We were in a discord call when this began happening, and their connection there was fine, no internet issues, so it seems to be an issue with the server itself, maybe? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
