It would be great if you devs could add placeable sound emitters for admins/ creative mode.
Users/ Server admins could then place them wherever they want and define a path to a sound file (e.g. mp3, ogg etc), choose a radius and set flags like "loop", "onTrigger" etc. Also they should be triggerable with chat commands, something like "/trigger [triggername] [once/loop]". This would be useful e.g. if you have an arena and you want to play a fanfare to intruduce the gladiators. Custom dungeons could become more interesting through sound effects like screaming people, scaring ambient sounds and whatever not. Or if you have an server with a modern world and metropolitan cities, you could use sound emitters to play music coming out of peoples windows. So many possibilities.
With these emitters worlds could become more unique and interesting in general.

Did you restart the server, in case you changed the allowance of creative mode after creating a world? Maybe you even have to create a new world. I had the same problem once and either i restarted the server or created a new world with that permission set to true, can't remember exactly.

Is there a way to create a privilege group that can't access the /kill command, so that they will not be able to get out of prisons through respawning? I mean, i know how to create groups, but how could i disable that command for them?

If you're only a little into creative open world stuff and survival - this game will probably keep you attracted much longer than any AAA title, especially if you play online and meet new people to play and be creative with.

I have two players of which one created a group. Now he tried to allow access to his claim to another player which also joined his group. Even though he tried to give access to the whole group as well as to the single player and it said "access granted" in the chat window, the other player still can't neither modify blocks nor interact with stuff.
EDIT: After the claim was deleted and redone, it worked. But deleting and redoing the claims everytime a new member joins is not something that people would like, i guess.

Is there a way we can prevent e.g. wolves spawning inside village areas? Like right now, there are whole families spawning inside my starting village, making it hard for new players to even make it past the first area. Even if i kil them with '/entity remove' they will spawn again some time later.

OK. But for what are the pathway blocks for example? Do they tell npcs to stay on a path? Do i need to stack them up like 2 blocks for them to work?
Or the underground blocks?
And hitting CTRL+F1 reloads the game? Or what does it do exactly?
Maybe you should put these infos into the wiki.

Maybe someone could explain this a little. In creative mode, there's a filler, pathway, underground & spawner block. What exactly are they good for and how do i get rid of them, in case i put them somewhere accidentally? Because - i put a filler block somewhere, which obviously... fills the space of 1 block. But the filler block is invisible and i dont know how to remove it again. The same goes for the item/ loot randomizers. I "put" them on the ground, but there's nothing to be seen. And therefore cannot be edited, removed etc.

For players, i believe we really need...
1. an small in-game display, that shows players the number of other players currently online on a server (so that it doesn't feel so empty, even if populated)
2. a window/list (activated by key xy) that shows players the names of other players on a server, maybe with an option to click on them and private message them
3. Voice chating support, e.g. Teamspeak
For admins:
1. The ability to check current positions of players on a server (minimap doesn't help much, since it only shows part of the world)
2. beeing able to private message, kick or ban , teleport to players etc - from within a menu

Map icons/waypoints do not show up anymore. I tried to use this feature for the first time. Nothing shows up on the map. Using v1.12.8

I'm asking this in particular, because i am running a multiplayer server and am building a lot of structures and stuff in the starting area and throughout the world for players to discover.
But if in case there will be an update like better caves (the current ones are pretty boring, i think), then this update probably won't apply on already existing worlds? Which would mean i have to reseed/renew a world and will loose everything i have build?

Any update on this? Is there a way for admins to give new players selected items to start the game with?

I can't seem to find a way to check how many players are on the server plus their names and positions. This really should be implemented. The map doesnt show them all - if any, depending on my position in the world.
Any way for admins to unclaim land claimed by players?

I need to unclaim land taken away by a player that was formerly a member of a group. Now all the former group members do not have access to their stuff anymore. PvP is allowed and stealing is ok, but not a whole area including buildings and stuff. Is there a command or which file would i have to edit?
