  1. I absolutely detest cooking in games, so I adjusted the settings to effectively turn hunger off. Adjust the default level to whatever suits your gaming preference.
  2. Updated, and my game, with its 146 mods, works fine. That's not a guarantee everyone else's will, of course.
  3. I turn underground farming on in my worlds, and grow stuff happily when it's freezing on the surface. I have some animals domesticated and never run short of meat, although I have nothing large enough to give me anything but small hides, as yet. I did all this because my first winter laster from mid October to the starting days of May, which seemed to last a lifetime.
  4. I have a group of three traders like that in one of my worlds, a stone's throw from where I spawned in. So far I've never bothered with a trader in any world as all they sell is absolute crap.
  5. If installed in the default path, saved games are in Users -> Username -> Appdata -> Roaming -> VintagestoryData folder. I regularly manually back up Modconfig, ModData, Mods and the Saves folder, usually on a daily basis, just as a precaution. It only takes a minute.
  6. This latest driver knocked my frame-rate for the game down to almost 1FPS, so I reinstalled driver v 581.80 and all is back to normal. Just thought I'd pass this on.
  7. Thanks for that, Zane. Worked like a charm, and I used World Edit to paste the glorified shack I had back into the game, complete with the stuff I'd put into chests for safekeeping. I can actually SEE mobs to attack them and follow the blood trails they leave behind when I injure them (a very neat mod)!
  8. That would be great, thank you very much. It spoils the fun when I can never get LoS on anything because of tree/foliage density. It got so annoying that I put my stuff in a chest at my base, copied my entire base (it's just a glorified shack, really) and imported it into a new map that has -25% growth, instead of the +50% that my map was generated with. It's made a big difference! The regen command sounds interesting, as I'd still like to use the overgrown map, if I can regen it and get less overgrowth.
  9. I really have too much clutter in shrubs and forests ATM, and while the game runs fine, I can't see a damn thing for all the overgrowth! I'll drop it down, in my next world, so thanks for the info. I wish I could adjust my current world, so chunks I haven't visited yet would be less densely overgrown, but the option is greyed out.
  10. I must be lucky, in that the 70 to 80 mods I use all work flawlessly together. Some people have WAY more than that, and they have no problems either. I've had the game just over a week, and after trying different worlds to learn the ropes, then deleting them, my latest world has 120 hours in it. I'm making Iron Chain Mail now, plus some Iron weapons, but my tools are all still tin-bronze, for now. I got a big kick out of making Copper stuff, as well as Leather, and I was so excited making Tin-Bronze stuff! Iron has been a whole different ball game, and took ages to figure out, but I made it, after just pulling an all-nighter - I'm tired but happy! These old bones need a nap though. I need lots of Borax and Salt, though, so I'll have to get cracking when I wake up.
  11. I'm using 64 mods in my single-player game, all working smoothly with each other, which came as a pleasant surprise. I've played games where mods often clashed, but this game is the exception.
  12. I just turned them off, having been informed they were on by default. I have no interest in people's forum signatures.
