  1. Well, I reinstalled once again, and for some reason this time it worked. Thank you very much for your assistance and patience @Streetwind! I'm very glad I don't have to get a refund on this game. All the love!
  2. It still does the same thing that the other .exe does. Which is the mouse shows that it's loading something for but a moment, then nothing happens.
  3. I think I figured what I was doing wrong. This line was wrong: "E:\Games\Vintagestory\1.16.5 --dataPath E:\Games\Vintagestory\Data" Lemme try it right.
  4. But that just turns the shortcut into a folder shortcut that goes nowhere.
  5. And where do I write this? It wouldn't be in "Target" or "Start in", right?
  6. I've created an exception for it in the firewall, nothing changed however. How could I "start working with startup arguments to retarget the data directory to somewhere it can write"?
  7. I see, okay. They're actually running windows 11, while I sadly "upgraded" from win7 to 10. But lemme check permissions through the firewall.
  8. Thanks for the swift response, but there isn't a folder named "vintagestory-anything" in the %appdata%.
  9. I don't use any antivirus programs. Also it's installed in a separate HDD I keep for games in a folder made for it. I just copied the game folder to my roomate's computer to test it, and it works for them for some reason. Their computer is inferior hardware-wise, however.
  10. When I click on the .exe of the game, nothing happens. Simple as that. I tried looking at the task manager, and the game pops there for a second then gets suspended. No error messages or anything like that. Also my computer outdoes all the system requirements of the game. Help?
