  1. I can't say that I've read the entire thread (It's very long so far), but I have read a good portion of the original post and many of the replies. I agree with OP 100%. A simplified version of the real-life process makes a lot more sense than being able to repeatedly quench (???) a tool head. I took a material science course which spent the entire second half of the course focusing on iron & steel properties, including quenching & tempering. Needless to say, OP is correct about the physics. To respect realism (as seems to be a big priority for The devs), the current system should at least be reworked to fit OP's idea a bit better (in my opinion).
  2. I started this world in rc4. From what I've read, I think the new base game procedural ruins aren't present yet in world gen? I actually had to drop more than a few mods that I was using in 1.21 stable. I do have an occasional crash, but nothing game breaking. I had to prune out quite a few mods that weren't updated for the rc4 version of 1.22.
  3. Hello Vintage Story forum! This is my first post here. I'd like to briefly express that this game is awesome and it stokes the same brain channels that Minecraft did when I first started it as a kid with a barely functional laptop. With that being said, I started a new word in 1.22.rc4 (Did I denote that correctly?), and I'd like to keep it once 1.22 is fully released as a stable build. Can I keep this save file going? Would it be better to start over using the same seed? Will the same seed give me the same world in a slightly different game version? Pardon my many questions. Edit: I do use Better Ruins and some QoL mods if that makes any difference.
