Ive kinda noticed, a lot of the default settings like hunger, tool durability, exc in this game are tuned for multiplayer.
Where an axe breaking after a day of use isn't such a problem if you have someone who can spend a day making everyone's tools.
But if everyones tools lasted a long time, things would get too easy too fast.
Personally I turned up those settings in my single player world a bit to compensate.
- Kinda like how some games will spawn more enemies, and bosses will have higher HP the more players there are. (but in this case inverted)
