The red bonnet mushroom is completely fine to eat as is but whenever I ad it to a stew it makes it poisonous. Is this a bug or intended?

The recipe produces the clothing but doesn't use up any of the hides, allowing the creation of infinite fur clothing for free.

Happens to objects on the ground and tools in toolracks. objects remain interactable so it mostly just looks wierd. additionally whenever its windy my character sticks his hand in front of his eyes, forcing me to use third person mode.
