But everything you described here is the same as tongs, just in a different form. Wooden tongs are basic level tool, and anything you describe would look good as an extension of hot things mechanic.

When I first started playing, I thought clothes just couldn't be repaired because I couldn't find a way to fix them until I asked on discord. There is couple more same things, as example this: It says it smelts into 1 ingot, but you cant smelt it without destroying with chisel. For a couple of days I puzzled over why this text is there if no smelting method (bloomery, forge or crusible) works.

To repair clothing you need to click it with linen, but thats dont work with armor. To repair armor you need to craft it with its materials, but thats dont work with clothing. Thats very confusing.
