Mods for my single player game interfering with multiplayer?

I'm having an issue where I'm playing on a server, started a single player world, with some of the same mods. Carryon and xskills mods say the dll are already assigned and cannot be used, for the single player. Is there a way to get the single player world and the server I play on work together?
