  1. Re-installing the game certainly seemed to help, I've yet to have another full crash. I'm still getting random 5-10 second long freezes, though, and I'm worried trying to re-incorporate my mods or hosting my friends will cause it to devolve again. As far as I know, nothing about my computer has changed besides updating the game itself. Task Manager shows that having the game world (and this firefox tab) open uses around 70% of my RAM, so I suppose its entirely possible something is causing that to max out and crash? All the crash windows said "failed to autosave".
  2. It's so awkward for my first post to be complaining the game broke T-T My friends and I chose not to update our multiplayer world until the mods we couldn't play without all updated- not even forked by other users, but by the original author to avoid the risk of vibecoded stuff. Regardless, the issue has gotten significantly worse since its onset and affects even the completely vanilla world I created to test solutions. I went as far as completely removing the files from the mod folder, not just disabling them in the main menu, but no dice. I can't play for more than ten minutes or so before the game crashes. Lowering graphics settings and closing other programs that might have been siphoning off resources didn't help at all, and with the f3 menu open I can see it runs perfectly smoothly 99% of the time and then just completely locks up. The second or third time I hit a lag spike, the game just goes kaput. Edit: I should add that this is all in singleplayer- I haven't been able to play multiplayer since this issue started- but our multiplayer world uses port forwarding rules rather than being a dedicated server, and I'm the host. It's just baffling to me that It's gone from "being able to host a modded world over LAN for 3 other players" to "crashes 10 minutes in to singleplayer vanilla" in the span of like,,, four days.
  3. As title explains, I started having lag issues after updating the game to 1.22.2. I initially assumed it was due to issues with the updated mods or maybe migrating a 1.21 world to 1.22, but I created a new completely vanilla world to test and the game has rapidly become borderline unplayable. It freezes more and more often as I play with the "Host not responding" warning appearing in the upper right even in singleplayer, and ultimately chunks stop loading and the game crashes completely. The exit window says the game failed to autosave. Is this a new bug introduced in 1.22? Did the update drastically increase hardware requirements? This isn't exactly a brand new computer, but I had zero issues running worlds with 10+ mods installed prior to updating.
