Hi everyone, I’d like to ask for some help. I’m playing with a collection of mods that my friend put together. Up until recently I had no lag issues at all, but now I’m running into a problem where the game frequently stutters during travel. It feels like the gameplay freezes for a moment whenever chunks are loading. At first I suspected Better Ruins or the Wildcraft mods, but even after removing them the issue still persists. I even created a completely new world without those mods, and the game still keeps hitching whenever chunks load. If it helps, I can attach a screenshot of the mods I’m currently using. Thanks everyone! Super helpful breakdown — now I know what really roasted my trees. Thanks for the info! I was secretly hoping the game tracked stuff like acidity and heat in the area. Oh well—thanks again for all the replies

I didn’t notice any lightning striking the trees or anything else nearby. I did see that the acidity of the water dissolves animal carcasses. Could it be that this acidity is affecting the environment through the steam? It wouldn’t surprise me if this was also programmed into the game.

Hello everyone. I’d like to ask what could be causing this forest dieback. Trees are dying in a large circular area, and the vegetation is degrading as well. Maybe moving close to the hot springs wasn’t the best idea?
