I played through the starting phase a bunch of times but had self-imposed myself a permadeath rule (since I thought I would have to restart a world anyway once the update drops) I'd say I'm pretty comfortable up to the start of the copper age, but I do understand that it's basically the start of the game still lol Having said that, I'm going to hop on the 1.22 rc10 client and just start playing! By the time I get to any of the new features, the last few polish fixes will probably have come out already! Fingers crossed it all goes fine and I don't have to restart any time soon!

How does the update process go for migrating from Testing Version to Stable Version once it hits? Just the regular orange notification at the top left asking me to update?

Hi! Very new here and very much looking forward to the countless hours I'm about to put in it. I love me some additional challenge and plan on heading into a Wilderness Survival world once the update drops on stable. The only thing that I can see halting my (very overblown) hype for this coming adventure is the fact that I'm not sure how I'll progress through story chapters without a map? I haven't been spoiled too much yet, but I know that a certain trader can give you places to go in the form of map markers. Does he give you a direction or something so that you can orient yourself there without a map? Or is Wilderness Survival just not made for that kind of experience? I'd like to keep my settings as "default" as possible so enabling the map is just not something I really want to do. If there really is no direction given other than the map markers, I may just have to go with the regular survival mode instead. Not an issue at all, but I'd rather know now than notice once I'm a week deep in a Wilderness Survival playthrough! Thank you Edit: I'll be going regular Survival since I just noticed Microblock Chiseling is also defaulted off in Wilderness Survival! I'll still leave the post up in case the original question gets answered and some people wondering the same thing stumble on it later on!

Bought the game a few days ago without knowing an update was coming soon™ and the wait is PAINFUL! Since I want to stay in my world for a very very very long time (forever world-ish since the game is still in development of course), I'm just watching videos for now and not playing at all because I don't want to burn myself out by playing in worlds that would become "meaningless" to me in barely a few days/weeks. I just can't wait to go all in, survive, progress and make awesome builds with the chisel.
