change fullscreen resolution by editing text file

When I open the game it opens fullscreen but in a tiny portion of my screen which makes it impossible to reach the settings menu via the game's gui. I poked around at some files but couldn't find anything about how to turn on windowed mode or changed what resolution the game launches at. How do I change a relevant setting to make the game playable for me by editing a text file?

The first thing you can try is pressing F11 once the client has launched and the window is in focus. That should switch display modes.

If that doesn't work:

There should be a file called clientsettings.json somewhere (I don't know where it is located on OSX, sorry). There's a "screenWidth" and a "screenHeight" definition in it.

F11 saved the day! I was trying alt+enter to toggle fullscreen.
