Kitsame Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) Im running a modded server, and when anyone tries to join it prompts for mod downloads. They install the mods and then it prompts saying '0 Mods missing to join server'. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so were you able to resolve it? Any ideas on resolution are welcome. Kitsame Posted June 20, 2023 Author Report Posted June 20, 2023 Problem resolved on reinstallation of the game-- For anyone who has this problem and is looking for a solution, I was missing the playstyle content.
Kitsame Posted June 21, 2023 Author Report Posted June 21, 2023 Just kidding, another friend is having the same issue now. One friends able to join just fine, two cant join at all due to this prompt popping up. Both tried reinstalling completely and still no avail.

Richard Campbell Posted January 21, 2024 Report Posted January 21, 2024 Sorry to necro the post, but this happened to me whenever the host and client versions were mismatched. Specifically the server was 1.8.15 while the client was 1.8.8. 1
Morgan S Posted April 28, 2024 Report Posted April 28, 2024 Another necro post (sorry), but this thread helped me troubleshoot so here's what was happening to players on my server: They got the same error, but it was because they were missing a dependency code mod and the server for some reason wasn't able to auto-download it. Said 0 mods were missing, but 1 in fact was. Testing the pack out by starting a singleplayer world with the mods that the server was able to download ended up triggering that 1 remaining dependency to be downloaded, so I was able to figure out which mod was missing. Not sure why the discrepancy between Multiplayer and Singleplayer identifying the correct mods, but putting this here in case it helps someone else! 1
Chaotic-Reaper Posted August 2, 2024 Report Posted August 2, 2024 Had this happen to one of my players. It so happens that somehow they got reverted to an older version of the game. And the server was on the latest version(1.19.8) so it got them stuck at downloading 0 mods until they updated back to game version 1.19.8 to be the same version as the server

PennyPootatoTtv Posted March 17, 2025 Report Posted March 17, 2025 I'm trying to play with my daughter, we've been playing just fine together. I load up a solo world, open to lan, and have her join. I didn't change anything on either of our accounts, but now I'm getting the "0 mods" error. I checked, and we have the same game version. We just got the game recently so we both have 1.20.4 and some of the mods don't work, but I make sure we have the same ones checked or unchecked. I don't know what's changed or what to do. Can someone explain what to do?
