Gilding refers to adding/overlaying/applying gold paint or accents to a piece of art. Either in a painting, pottery, as a part of architecture, etc. But it's all done with chiseling and is a part of the vanilla gameplay!

Sorry, I didn't get a notification for your comment...I plan to do a huge reveal of my Gilded Castle with all its gilded features and rooms sometime in the future. As for schematic's, I'll have to look into how to do that. Thanks!
