What happened to Colored Lights?

In 2016, Colored lights were added to the game.
 

It is mentioned in the VS Classic demo and there is a video demonstrating the lighting on youtube.

What happened to this? Was it removed from the game?

From my knowledge, u can "swap" a lantern's glass giving u the ability to change it's colour.

If you use coloured glass on a lantern, you can change it's lighting colour.
It's pretty cool for builds with moody or otherwise special lighting!
