Alluvium Posted September 13, 2024 Report Posted September 13, 2024 Wondering if it would be a nice immersive feature to require a saw horse (maybe crafted with stick legs and logs across the top) to allow the sawing of boards, and then a workbench (requiring nails, boards etc to craft) to allow more intricate joinery such as furniture and containers. Any thoughts? 1
Alluvium Posted September 13, 2024 Author Report Posted September 13, 2024 Just noticed that 'more immersive crafting' and 'woodworking' are already on the roadmap... I'm new here, don't feed me to the bears! 1
LadyWYT Posted September 14, 2024 Report Posted September 14, 2024 Like this mod? https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/4353 I'd be okay with it, especially if it offers a good way to facilitate crafting fancier furniture(that actually functions). Of course, I'd also add a sawmill as a piece of machinery that can be built later on, to help reduce the amount of labor needed to create boards and things. Whacking things into a crafting grid may not be the most immersive thing in the world, but it tends to be less tedious when it comes to items that you'll be be needing quite a lot of rather frequently. 3 hours ago, Alluvium said: I'm new here, don't feed me to the bears! That be what the wolves are for, heh heh. 1
