Books that can't be read

Hello,

In the repository there are books I can pick up - noticeable from others by green squares on their spines. Some of them say they have lore in them (something in lines story that has been passed from generations) but I can't read them. Same with one of the scrolls there. Is this normal or a bug. 

I am not talking about books that are too rotten, they look fine, they just don't do anything on right click.

I've been wondering about that myself. Are these doubles, or are they even useful? Because if not, I've got three of them lying around, and could throw them out.

if the book is a double, that is, the book has been found prior at some point (and read), that would explain not being able to read again.

also, forget which trader (luxuries?) will buy books sometimes, don't toss
