Is there a general "how to make new armors" guide?

Sorry if I missed it, but looking through the forum I didn't see any general guides, I want to make an armor mod to add a new set of armor (equivalent to chain stats-wise), I want to know how to make and add the armor model, I have experience modeling in Blender.

To understand the process best, going through the general modding tutorial would probably be the best move. However, if I'd want to speed up the process, I'd download one of these armour mods and look how they are structured.
