JAGIELSKI Posted January 1, 2025 Report Posted January 1, 2025 Can't believe this isn't already a thing. Right now, most mods either require you to load a world to configure them in the settings (especially if they add new keybinds) or have their homegrown configuration windows (often under some arcane key combination). How about adding an option for a mod to define a configuration GUI that would be accessible from the main menu (either via the mod sub window or from the settings)?
Thorfinn Posted January 1, 2025 Report Posted January 1, 2025 Mods hook into the engine at load. This makes it possible for different modlists to reuse hotkeys, For example you can use "Z" for zoom if you are using the Zoom mod, or for stack to container if you are using Xandu's Inventory Tweaks So long as you don't play a game with both mods, neither has to be fiddled with.
