Apologies if I've started this in the wrong sub forum

but gosh, this game would be amazing with a virtual reality implementation, especially considering how interactive the world is. I'd imagine VS transferring to vr BEAUTIFULLY

as far as my knowledge goes, vr was on the road map at some point (I've read a few old threads on the forum and some Reddit posts referencing it) but doesn't appear to be there any more, so my hopes at any official implementation are dead in the water for now.
There are some aspects of the game I'd imagine being a bit tricky to make work in vr though. Throwing objects and smithing are probably my biggest worries, off the top of my head

just wanted to throw my thought up here since vr discussion seems pretty dead, and I wish to revive it as vr is something i'd love to see in the game, officially implemented or otherwise

Yeah, I wish I was good enough to code thing like this, I would absolutely love to do it. If this game ever gets VR support, modded or official, it's gonna be the absolutely best VR game ever.

I loved the VR Mod for Minecraft & would love to see some mod developers make something like Vivecraft for Vintage Story. It would become incredibly popular with the roleplayers in this community. Maybe make a post on https://www.vintagestory.at/forums/forum/27-mods-mod-development/ suggesting it's development? But it's basically just asking for a lot of work. I'm not sure how easy it would be to make something like this for VS's game engine.

I just got VS recently and I've really enjoyed playing it through Virtual Desktop on a Quest 3 headset. It's not Vivecraft where you swing a controller and you actually crack blocks, but you can project your PC screen in VR so it's massive and curved, and the perspective makes you feel like you're in the game. I do have to play on medium when playing through the headset, but that's only because I'm playing off a laptop atm because I enjoy the portability. Otherwise, I can play it on mega high settings from the desktop. If you have a Quest 2/3, I highly recommend Virtual Desktop. Their built-in streaming is not as great, while VD is largely painless and plug-n-play.

"Horrifying." I'm pretty sure that the word that I would use would be "horrifying."

I'm glad not being the only one to think that xD

It would be great for things such as knapping, clay forming, smithing etc. Not so much fun in a pitch dark cave when your torch gets extinguished in some water, then you hear the bell... 🧠🥹
