HellsHero Posted February 3, 2025 Report Posted February 3, 2025 I was looking to craft some daub today, but ran into a roadblock as I didn't notice the crafting recipe for the type of sand I have in my area (Granite) requires blue clay OR fire clay, I assumed I would be able to use red clay. Why can't red clay be used for this? Is this intended? It seems red clay can only be used for some colours of daub (brown, golden brown, weathered brown, green, orange, & yellow). Why can't it craft the other types of daub? This honestly feels like an arbitrary limitation, am I missing something here? Fire clay can craft all of the above, as well as ashen, light brown, & tan. Blue clay can craft all the same daub as fire clay.
idiomcritter Posted February 3, 2025 Report Posted February 3, 2025 I get what you are saying... seems deliberate/intended. and I've yet to craft fire clay using flint, seems to be a thing with 1.20 unrelated I'm recalling when first finding kimberlite and thinking it would look great as bricks only to find it could only be polished and no crafting recipe for bricks... sad day
Walrussnow Posted February 4, 2025 Report Posted February 4, 2025 yeah ive been trying all day to make daub, i have no clue what im doing wrong i have all the clay besides from fire clay, so i guess its fire clay? idk
