Is there a way to increase the size of my world after it was created?

I did not realize the world was going to be so... tiny, with the default settings. I just hit the world border which is less than 2 or 3 (in game) days from my spawn. I was really looking forward to exploring but there is basically nothing to explore like this. I am already set up with my and I have a lot of supplies so I don't really want to start over. Surely there is a way to just expand the world boarders mid save?

When you are in the world selection screen, hover over your world. Does it specify the world width/length, or not? If it doesn’t specify, then it’s the default 1 million blocks in length and width (in which case you certainly are not reaching the world border in a few ingame days). Check if it says the world edge is blocked when you hover over the world - I believe the world border is traversable by default, so if it doesn’t say it’s blocked, you should be falling off the edge. Also try enabling coordinates with Ctrl+V, and see what that says - the coordinates measure 1:1 with blocks. Does it match half your world size limit at the edge of the map (ex 500k or -500k for a 1m world size)?  Assuming you didn’t change any world settings from default, it sounds like something else might be going on. Maybe new chunks aren’t loading in properly? I do not believe there is any way to change the world size after creating the world, unfortunately, if the world size did somehow get set that small.

I took screenshots of the requested information.

Edit: Forgot to say that no, I cannot fall off into the void. As I said in my post there is an invisible wall that prevents me from crossing into the void.

Forgot a detail.

Sounds exactly like it, and someone commenting on the rivers mod also seems to have the issue, though I won't know for sure unless he gives more details.

The issue is barely noticeable if you focus on building a base, but if you (like me) prefer playing nomad and especially going far in a single direction without long pauses, the wall will invariably come up before all too long. I initially discovered it while rafting down a river from the mod, which makes you move very quickly due to the current, but determined sprinting in a single direction will also trigger it. The only "fix" apart from not exploring at all seems to be restarting the game and waiting, which will eventually load the missing chunks; this is only a halfway fix, however, since the issue keeps showing up unless you stop wandering so much lol

For now I've settled on just building houses in inhospitable worlds, which is also fun, but it's a bummer that my favorite playstyle is effectively blocked off by whatever is going on; glad to know it's not just my machine being borky, though, so there's that.

I had a similar issue when I started a world with a terrain generator mod, saved quit, turned off the mod and loaded up the game.

It wouldn't generate new chunks, luckily I was just testing so it didn't break a world I cared about.

Could be a similar issue just a thought.

I also have the rivers mod, but mine didn't generate any rivers sadly...

The only mod (I think) I have that affects world gen is the rivers mod, and as I said above it didn't even make any rivers.

@Eoin Lynne Did you set the landcover to 40% and landcover scale to 300% when generating the world? They say to do that in the description, and that does it for me every time. Going rafting down those rapid currents is a blast!

Crap, I forgot to do that, I feel very stupid now.

Update: Made a new world with those settings, still no river, however now my world is 2 small islands in an endless sea...

@Eoin Lynne I never used the radar map before, so I have no idea what the scale is, but maybe you just ended up on a couple of islands in the ocean of a larger world? All I know is I've gotten rivers every time since I started using those settings (I missed them the first time too lol). Maybe try generating a few worlds just to test since you're using them map anyway? If you keep getting no rivers at all on your local landmass, something is clearly up.
