What are these see through yellow... clouds?

So yesterday I started finding these yellow clouds here and there in my world, but I couldn't find out what they were when I tried googling it. Does anyone know what they are supposed to be?

The yellow "clouds" are highlighting mycelium chunks, alas where mushrooms grows/might grow.

You can turn this on/off with shift + M if I remember correct. If not, the hotkey can be found in your settings, under the "Control" tab.

OMG THANK YOU!!! I must have turned it on while sprinting and opening the map. It has been driving me crazy!
