  1. lol after that many hours, your mind might play tricks on you Tho, I too swear I have seen such shadowy figures when moving about... I've just assumed they'd be some lost drifter or animal
  2. Appreciate the reply, and outlining the basic functions, but it's not quite what I was asking or hoping for. I apologise, I should maybe have worded my question a bit different, but english isn't my first language. I'm well aware of all what you mentioned in your post, and have done a fair bit of chisel work on various worlds and serves. You can see some of my work here. The type of information I seek, let me give an example: Did you know you can change the direction of texture of added materials to a chisel block? This is done by placing, lets say, a wood plank block, in the direction you want the grains to go, then right click it with the chisel, break it and then add it as a second block in your crafting grid with the host block you want to add the wooden texture to. This way your wooden texture in the block you're chiseling, will go in the direction you want it, and not in the "default" direction. This type of info was all new to me, until I accidentally stumbled upon it, and not mentioned in any chiseling documentation (there hardly are any) that I have found. This leads me to think (and hope) there are other "hidden" features like this in this game, that will further enhance the already incredible experience this game has to offer. I hope this can clarify a bit more, what type of information I'm looking for. Maybe some of the devs can enlighten us or create some documentation to features not widely known
  3. Is there a guide to the many quirks and features of the chiseling system? Like, how does one interact with the "decor" layer, and what can be done with this mysterious feature? What about wallpapers? They mysteriously disappear when trying to chisel anything that already has been wallpapered, with no mentioning why anywhere I can find. There seem to be a lot of "hidden" features in this game, that only is known about by those who have extensive knowledge of the game, but not mentioned for the mere average players like myself. Would be really interesting to see some more in-depth guides to some of this amazing games many aspects.
  4. If you check this page, you can look up every rocktype and what ores spawn where
  5. Have you tried /whenwillitstopraining command to check what that tell you?
  6. Open it and see if the wood is still there. Also, have you put any non full blocks on the outer rim of the pit, f.eks. a stair or partly chiseled block? I've had this happen on one of my worlds, and it turned out to be caused by a stair block that I had used. If it's not any of these, I have no idea why it's not finishing
  7. I've noticed this too, where the satiety bar suddenly jumps up and back down when eating. Not found any pattern to when it happens or linked to any specific food.
  8. I've had no issues finding metal parts on 1.19 , got several stacks on my current playtrough. Think most of them I found in underground translocator ruins, or when fighting the occasional sawblade locusts in deep caves.
  9. Not a bug, it's intentional and been in the game "forever".
  10. You can turn off the temporal stability by typing /worldconfig temporalStability false to get rid of that effect.
  11. A very good tip, and something I use myself when I build stuff in my world
  12. Looks like it might be the MoreRoofing Mod, but I'm not sure.. does look good tho, I do like it
  13. If you're on Windows, you can easily move the game over to your second monitor with a simple keypress. Hold ⇧ Shift+⊞ Win and press ← or →. If you want to move the game to your left monitor, use the left arrow key. To move the game to your right monitor, use the right arrow key. Hope that helps
  14. If you want to disable creative mode in your single player world, there is a setting you can change to do that. Assuming your install is in the default location, you will find your local server config here: %Appdata%/VintagestoryData/serverconfig.json In that file do a search for: AllowCreativeMode And change its value from true to false Now when you start your singleplayer world, you should not be able to turn on creative mode. Hope that helps.
  15. I've patched the mod for 1.18.15 and 1.19.4, both versions can now be downloaded from here: XMas Time - Continued Enjoy
  16. Created a quick patch to address the issue, for those who are interested. Can be downloaded here: Seedbag patch
  17. @Felix Hoppe@Yozo This already exists in the game, as far as I can see. Take a look here: How to use WorldEdit This allows for import/export of schematics created in creative mode. Hope that helps
  18. It's not a texture problem, it's the 3d rendered bag that is rotated to the right, effectively hiding the seed texture behind the numbers.
  19. What do you mean by travelling large distances? 200 blocks? 500? More? There can be large areas that are unstable, that's just normal. Likewise, there are large areas that are very stable, some almost all the way down to bedrock (I've had worlds where that has happened). Just try going further than you have been, and see if things change, you've probably just been unlucky on your current world
  20. Water is also your friend, you swim faster than them, but be aware of their leap ability
  21. Water wheels are already in the Roadmap for the game
  22. I do this all the time, as they make for great starter shelters and easy, free, durable building materials
  23. If you can't find much surface nuggets, panning is absolutely an option! This can often result in other useful items to be found as well, and I do pan as soon as I can when starting fresh. Most of the time when I find surface copper, I'm not actively looking for it, but often just stumble upon the rocks while looking for other resources.
  24. Great work, as always! But sad to see the mining nerf actually go trough unchanged, even after lots of negative comments about it's impact on an already very time consuming task. We spend loads of hours mining, and now we need to spend another 20% more time down there not a huge fan of this change..
