ALT-Mouse Click not working (Linux)

Just installed the game and wanted to go through the tutorial. I got immediately stuck when the game tells me to press the ALT key to move the mouse pointer around, and then to click on the link in the tutorial window. I can click as much as I want, nothing happens. The tutorial won't continue. Tried left and right click. In the game itself, I can smash stones or flowers to pick them up, so the mouse buttons in general seem to work in the game. Just not clicking the tutorial link.

Also, after aborting the game there, and re-starting it now, I can't seem to open that tutorial window anymore. How do I do that?

Are you able to keybind that action to a different key, [settings]>[controls]>[lock/unlock cursor]?

As for the starting tutorial, you can find that in the guide. Press [h] and click the Tutorials tab (at the top left).

what is your desktop environment? it's possible your DE is using the alt key for a certain function or shortcut, which could be taking priority over in-game bindings and preventing use of the alt key in the game.
